Very flexible, not stiff to work with. Lighted end shows that it's got juice going through it. Would buy again.

I have burned up electric edgers by not having too much voltage drop across a 50 foot 14/3 commercial extension cable. When I ordered a Worx 12 Amp Lawn blower and vacuum I didn't want to take any chances as well as the 50 foot 14/3 was just too short.
This thing is heavy and almost exactly looks like my 14/3 cable but thicker.
I bought a cable spool thinking it would be big enough for this cable but NOT!
All is not lost though since my 50 foot 14/3 fits perfect on it.
Also I ordered it from Amazon (not one of their other sellers) since the shipping was free.
I finally ordered a 4 cycle commercial grade gas powered trench edger, but had I had this cable I'd still have my electric trench edger.

I bought this cord because I wanted a cord that would be able to take high amp loads without heating up. A 14 gauge cord will heat up if you subject it to a 12 or 13 amp load, below it's max of 15 amps. But this cord is 12 gauge, and it doesn't heat up one bit with a high amp load. The plug ends are sturdy, and the female end allows you to see if you have power with a small neon light, very handy. This cord does get stiffer in the winter like most cords, but not nearly as much as others. I use this to power power tools in the summer and an electric heater in the winter. For high amp loads I wouldn't recommend anything less than 12 gauge for short distances, and 10 gauge for long distances, to minimize voltage drop.

This is a solid cord. I have used it for a year of with my electric lawn mower and despite getting dragged through the yard, over cement, under fences, across patio bricks and more, this cable hasn't shown wear. I think the best part about this cord is that I don't have to think about it at all. It does its job easily and consistently while remaining flexible.
The female end lights up when power is going to it - a good indicator if the machine is not working to determine if the cord is unplugged or the machine is faulty.
The cord coils up nicely and stows hanging on the wall in my outdoor storage.
Be aware that a true 12 gauge cable is heavy, but to carry good current, quality cable is a must.

Yellow Jacket makes a fantastic heavy duty high quality multi-purpose extension cord and I purchase them any time I need another cord. They might be just a bit pricier than alternatives, but I've never had a complaint. The light up caps are kind of nifty, too.
